Privacy Policy
Effective October 21, 2026
This policy explains what information freemyats.com (the "Site") collects and what we do with it. The Site is operated by Free My ATS ("we", "us"), which is responsible for your information. See also our Terms of Use.
The short version
- We only collect what you type into our forms, plus what we need to keep the Site secure.
- No cookies, no analytics, no advertising trackers.
- We don't sell your information.
- Free My ATS is run by a company in the recruiting technology industry, which may contact you about its products. You can opt out at any time.
- We only show your company publicly if you opt in, and we review supporters before publishing anyone.
- Reports are private. We only ever share totals.
What we collect
When you join the movement: your name, work email, company name, company website, optionally your company logo, and your choices about being shown as a supporter and receiving updates.
When you report fees: the name of your applicant tracking system, what it charges for, who is asked to pay, optionally the approximate cost and any notes you add, plus your work email and company website.
Technical information: to prevent spam, we compute a one-way, salted hash of your IP address when you submit a form and keep it for up to 24 hours. We don't store your IP address itself in our database. Our hosting provider processes standard request information, such as IP address and browser type, to deliver and protect the Site, and may keep it in short-lived server logs.
Cookies and tracking
The Site does not set cookies and does not use analytics, advertising or social media tracking tools. Our fonts are served from our own domain, so loading a page doesn't contact third parties. If you click a link to share on LinkedIn or X, that service's own privacy policy applies.
How we use your information
- To run the Free My ATS campaign and count support.
- To show your company as a supporter, only if you opted in and after we review it.
- To produce aggregated, anonymized statistics from reports.
- To email you campaign updates, only if you opted in. Every email will include a way to unsubscribe.
- To follow up with you about something you submitted.
- To tell you about the products and services of the company that runs Free My ATS, which works in recruiting technology. You can opt out of these messages at any time.
- To protect the Site from abuse and to meet legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't share it for targeted advertising.
We share it only with:
- Service providers that run the Site for us: Vercel (hosting and file storage) and Neon (database). They may use it only to provide their services to us.
- The public, for supporters who opted in: company name, logo and website. We never publish supporters' names or email addresses, or anything identifying from reports.
- Authorities or others when required by law, or to protect our rights or anyone's safety.
- A successor, if the campaign or our business is transferred, under the same protections described here.
How long we keep it
We keep supporter and report information for as long as the campaign runs, or until you ask us to delete it. Rate-limiting hashes are deleted after 24 hours. When the campaign ends, we will delete or anonymize what we hold.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete your information, to stop showing your company as a supporter, or to stop emailing you, including product messages. Email hello@freemyats.com from the address you signed up with, and we will respond within 30 days.
Depending on where you live, including California, the EU, the UK and other regions with privacy laws, you may have additional rights, such as to object to or restrict how we use your information, to receive a copy in a portable format, or to complain to your local data protection authority. We rely on your consent and on our legitimate interest in running the campaign. We won't treat you differently for exercising your rights.
Where it is stored and how it is protected
Your information is stored in the United States. If you are outside the US, your information will be transferred there. We protect it with encryption in transit, access controls and a private file store for logos, but no system is perfectly secure.
Children
The Site is not intended for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy. We'll post the new version here with a new effective date, and if a change is significant, we'll tell supporters who opted in to emails.
